With more than 400,000 students dropping out of university each year in the US, some colleges and companies have begun incorporating nudges in order to encourage students to stay on track with their studies and succeed at university.

Drawing on data analytics and behavioural psychology, these nudges recognise that low rates of college persistence and graduation are often caused by behavioural barriers such as poor student organisation, unwise course selections, and support systems that do not engage with students effectively enough.
